Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
SignalSeal, Inc. ("SignalSeal," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and the end users of the mobile applications that use our technology.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website, use our platform, or when our Services are integrated into mobile applications ("Apps") via our SDK and APIs.
SignalSeal operates as a mobile attribution and measurement infrastructure company. We help mobile app developers ("Clients") understand the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns and subscription performance, and we forward clean conversion data from subscription sources of truth (such as RevenueCat and SuperWall) to advertising partners (such as Meta, Google, and TikTok). In doing so, we process two distinct categories of data:
- Client Data: Information about our direct customers (app developers and marketers).
- End-User Data: Information about the users who download and interact with our Clients' Apps.
Information We Collect
Client Data (Business Information)
We collect information directly from you when you register for an account, request a demo, or subscribe to our services.
- Identity Data: Company name, Client contact name.
- Contact Data: Business email addresses, phone numbers.
- Billing Data: Payment information and billing addresses (processed via secure third-party payment processors).
- Usage Data: Logs regarding how you interact with the SignalSeal dashboard.
- Integration Credentials: OAuth tokens and access credentials you authorize us to store in order to read campaign data from ad networks and subscription data from third-party providers, and to deliver conversion events back to those networks.
End-User Data (SDK, API & Integration Collection)
When a Client integrates the SignalSeal SDK or API into their mobile App, or connects a third-party source such as RevenueCat or SuperWall, we collect data about the devices and users interacting with that App. We process this data on behalf of our Clients.
- Device Identifiers: IP address, User Agent, and unique device identifiers (depending on OS rules and user consent, such as IDFA, IDFV, GAID, or OAID).
- Device Attributes: Device model, operating system version, carrier, language/locale, battery status, and timezone.
- Attribution Data: Referrer data, link clicks, ad impressions, and install timestamps used to determine which marketing campaign drove an install.
- App Activity: In-app events as defined by the Client (e.g. "Trial Started," "Purchase," "Tutorial View") and session duration.
- Subscription Events: Trial starts, conversions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds forwarded from subscription platforms such as RevenueCat and SuperWall.
- Tracking Technologies: We may use cookies, pixels, and local storage to facilitate attribution and deep linking.
How We Use Your Information
To Provide Our Services
- Attribution: Match app installs, trials, and purchases to specific marketing campaigns.
- Analytics: Provide Clients with dashboards and reports on retention, LTV, ROAS, and cohort performance.
- Deep Linking: Route users to specific content inside an App when they click a link.
- Conversion Forwarding: Send qualified conversion signals (e.g. paying trials, subscriptions) back to ad networks so Clients can optimize ad delivery.
Business Operations
- To manage your account and billing.
- To communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support.
- To improve the SignalSeal platform, SDK, and integration performance.
How We Share Information
We do not sell data. We share data only as described below:
- With Ad Networks & Media Partners: At the Client's direction, we send postbacks and server-side conversion events to advertising partners (e.g. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok) to optimize ad delivery. This sharing occurs only when the Client explicitly configures the integration.
- With Subscription & Analytics Providers: We read subscription event data from third-party providers (e.g. RevenueCat, SuperWall) that the Client has connected.
- Service Providers: We utilize third-party vendors to support our infrastructure (cloud hosting, databases, error tracking, email delivery). These vendors are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or regulation, or to protect the rights and safety of SignalSeal, our Clients, or others.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
International Data Transfers
SignalSeal, Inc. is incorporated in Delaware, United States.
Information collected via our Services may be processed and stored in jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using our Services or integrating our SDK, you acknowledge that data may be transferred to jurisdictions that lack equivalent privacy protections. We implement appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable, to maintain data protection.
Data Retention
- Client Data: Retained for the duration of the active contract and a reasonable period thereafter for audit and legal purposes.
- End-User Data: Retained as long as the Client's contract is active and they require the data for attribution and analytics. Upon contract termination, data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Security
We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular review of our cloud infrastructure.
Your Rights & Choices
For Clients
You may access, update, or delete your account information by logging into the SignalSeal dashboard or contacting us.
For End-Users
Because SignalSeal acts as a Data Processor, if you are an end user of an App using SignalSeal and wish to exercise your data rights (access, deletion, objection), please contact the App developer (the Data Controller) directly. We will assist the Client in fulfilling these requests.
Opt-Out Options:
- Device Settings: Users can limit tracking via iOS settings ("Ask App Not to Track") or Android settings ("Delete advertising ID"). SignalSeal respects these signals in compliance with platform policies.
- Client Configuration: Our SDK offers methods for Clients to limit data collection or flag users as opted out of tracking.
Children's Privacy
SignalSeal does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. Our Clients are contractually prohibited from integrating our SDK into Apps directed at children without complying with COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU) regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Clients via email or a prominent notice on our dashboard.
